The Birth of Cabin 8 Outpost

Jeff Freeman

Jeff Freeman was born and raised in Michigan where he began attending summer camp at the age of five. Camp Tamarack in Ortonville, MI was so special to him that he decided to become a camp counselor as a teen and work his way up the ranks to a full-time, year round management position.

Jeff has more than ten years of experience as a teambuilding facilitator and American Red Cross instructor for CPR, first aid, AED and lifeguarding. He also ran the Camp's summer tripping program where he planned and oversaw all trips outside of camp for hundreds of campers and counselors. Trips ranged from canoeing in northern Canada to hiking in the Smoky Mountains.

In 2008 Jeff moved to South Florida to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a law enforcement officer. Cabin 8 Outpost formed in 2013. Jeff combines his law enforcement education and experience to create positive teambuilding experiences for groups of all ages and professions.
